Nov 14, Kathmandu- It is reported that two major hospitals in Gaza have been closed due to ongoing Israel attacks.
The World Health Organization has expressed concern over this. The director general of the organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, has expressed concern that a serious situation has been created in Gaza. He expressed his grief that the patients as well as premature babies had to die due to the closure of the hospital.
Al-Shifa and Al-Quds, the largest hospitals in Gaza, are closed. It is also said that many people are trapped inside the hospital as the hospital area is also being targeted. The Hamas-run Ministry of Health claims that more than 2,300 patients are trapped in Al-Shifa Hospital alone.
The Red Cross has stated that displacement from the Gaza Strip is also taking place in an extremely unsafe manner. It has been emphasized that a ceasefire is also necessary for the rescue of patients trapped in the hospital who need further treatment. Al Jazeera reported that since October 7, the number of people who lost their lives on the Palestinian side has exceeded 11,100 since the Gaza-Israel war.
According to the latest revised figures, 1200 people have died in the Hamas attack on Israel.
