Congress Decides To send a team including engineers and carpenters to build a shelter for earthquake victims

Nov 20, Kathmandu- The Nepali Congress is going to donate labor to build a tower for the earthquake victims.

It was decided by the official meeting held on Monday morning in Dhumbarahi to send a volunteer team including engineers and carpenters to Jajarkot and Rukum West to build the tower.

"It has been decided to send 25 volunteer teams to Jajarkot and Rukum West to build shelters for the earthquake victims," Meen Bahadur Bishwakarma, Head of the Publicity Department, told Setopati, "Each team consists of one engineer, one carpenter, and one manager." It has been decided to send volunteers at the rate of 10 people in one team.

The Congress has decided to donate labor for the construction of the tower, saying that the earthquake victims are in trouble due to the cold. Also, the Congress has requested the government to provide the relief funds for the construction of the tower quickly.

According to Bishwakarma, Head of the Publicity Department, priority has been given to the construction of the terrace to house the families who have given birth and the elderly. So far, 8 earthquake victims have died due to the cold.

"By sending volunteers, we will build towers for the families of pregnant women and elderly people who are at high risk from the earthquake," he said, "the party will bear the expenses of the volunteers who came to build the towers."

The Congress had also contributed Rs 50 lakh to the government fund to help the earthquake victims.
