Nov 20, Kathmandu- The government has released the first installment of funds for the construction of temporary housing in five districts affected by the earthquake.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority has informed that a lump sum of Rs 1.41 billion has been disbursed for the first installment. The authority said that the amount has been disbursed in the name of the respective district administration offices.
According to the authority, 50 million rupees have been disbursed in Jajarkot, the epicenter of the earthquake, and 50 million rupees have also been sent to another district affected by the earthquake (Rukum-West).
According to the authority, 25 million rupees have been disbursed in Bajhang, 14 million rupees in Bajura and 2 million rupees in Salyan. The authority has also requested that the amount be sent through the municipality itself after identifying the beneficiaries in coordination with the local level according to the procedure.
