Dec 17, Kathmandu- The Election Commission has awarded election symbols to 12 political parties registered to participate in the National Assembly.

The commission meeting held on Sunday gave symbols to 12 political parties. The National Assembly elections will be held on Magh 11. According to the commission, the election symbols were assigned based on the votes received for the proportional election system in the election of members of the House of Representatives.

CPN UML, Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Centre), Rashtriya Prajatantra Party, Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal, Janmaat Party, CPN (Unified Socialist), Nagarik Unmukti Party, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party Nepal, Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party, Rashtriya Janamorcha and Nepal Samajwadi Party have received election symbols.
