Dec 22, Kathmandu- A few days ago, industrialist Rajendra Raut of Biratnagar laid the foundation stone of the hospital building with an estimated investment of 250 crores. He aims to run a hospital and nursing college with 300 beds in the future.
The construction of the hospital has been started at Budhiganga-1 in Morang near the border of Biratnagar. Birat Teaching Hospital is now running in Tankisinuwari of Budhiganga. It also holds a big investment.
Similarly, Nobel Medical College is operating in Biratnagar-5. A large amount of investment is being made in the said medical college and hundreds of people are getting employment.
Neuro Cardio Specialty Hospital is operating in Biratnagar-10. It also has more than billions of investments and hundreds of workers.
Golden Hospital, which has been operating at Hospital Chowk in Biratnagar for a long time, is constructing a new hospital building with 100 beds in Biratnagar 11. Where the cost is estimated at 52 crore rupees. Morang Cooperative Hospital in Biratnagar-2 is also a big hospital. These hospitals run by the private sector are known not only in Biratnagar, but also in Koshi Province, Madhes Province and Bihar in India.
Similarly, the Biratnagar Eye Hospital operating in Biratnagar-14 is the best eye hospital in South Asia. There is also a big investment here and there are hundreds of workers. Golcha Eye Hospital is another well-known hospital in Biratnagar as an eye hospital. Similarly, Tapadia Eye Hospital in Biratnagar-2, Roadshesh Dakshina Himal Eye Hospital, Divya Jyoti Eye Hospital opened on the highway line of Biratnagar are also big investment hospitals.
Our Hospital, Max Hospital, Green Cross Hospital, Arya Neuro Hospital are operating as small hospitals in Biratnagar.
According to the statistics of the Government of Nepal, the Ministry of Health and Population and the Provincial Government Ministry of Health, there are a total of 83 public/community and private hospitals in Koshi Province. Among the 14 districts of Koshi province, Morang alone has the highest number of 34 hospitals. There are also 3 hospitals with more than 300 beds and 15 hospitals with 26 to 300 beds in Morang.
Similarly, there are 11 hospitals with 16 to 25 beds and 5 hospitals with 15 beds in Morang.

Sanatan Mandal, the owner of Golden Hospital, says that Biratnagar is becoming a health hub. "Middle-class Indians have also started coming to Biratnagar for treatment because the health services here are cheap," Mandal said, "We have to increase the quality to manage the treatment here for the high families of India and the high families of Biratnagar."
He says that if the quality treatment can be made effective, people can come from Kathmandu for treatment in Biratnagar.
