Feb 24, Kathmandu- The regulator Nepal Telecommunication Authority has requested to inform any Internet service provider or mobile service provider company's network if Tiktok is still running.

Publishing a notice, the authority has requested the government to immediately ban the use of Tiktok in Nepal, to implement the decision, the authority has given instructions to all internet service providers, but it has been found that Tiktok is still accessing the network of some service providers and requested to provide information about such service provider companies on Saturday.

The authority has also informed that some internet and mobile service provider companies that did not implement the government's decision have been asked for clarification and the process of action has been taken forward.

In order to implement the government's decision, service providers who do not follow the instructions given by the authority have been warned that action will be taken according to the Telecommunications Act 2053.

"Also, Internet service users are requested to inform about such company by emailing the authority's email address content@nta.gov.np if Tiktok is being accessed/running," the authority said in the notice.
