Four Killed In Bus Crash In Brazil

Apr 01, Kathmandu- At least four people were killed in an accident that occurred during Easter Sunday celebrations in the northeastern state of Pernambuco in Brazil, the state governor said.

Governor Raquel Lira mentioned the death of at least four people in the procession in Jaboatao through an Instagram post and expressed his condolences to the families of the victims.

About 20 people were injured in the incident, according to the local media, quoting the emergency rescuers. Jabotao Mayor Mano Medeiros said through social media 'X' that the cause of the serious accident was not clear.

In the video of the accident, which was shared on social media and local media, it was seen that the bus suddenly fell down the steep road into the crowd of people who were participating in the procession. Local media reported that the bus driver fled the scene.
