Home Minister Lamichhan: I will not resign despite of a complaint

Apr 09, Kathmandu- Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane assures that he will not resign from his post despite the complaint filed in the cooperative fraud case.

His opinion got public when the Nepali Congress disrupted the parliament meeting saying that a parliamentary committee should be formed to investigate the co-operative fraud case. He has also put a condition for the congress party that they should be ready to resign if any corruption case is raised against them.

Deputy Prime Minister Lamichhane also proposed to the Congress to form a high-level investigation committee and prepare to investigate all corruption scandals since 2047, if they want to create a corruption-free country. However, he says that there is no justification for the demand to form a parliamentary inquiry committee on personal allegations against him.
