ACC Premier Cup Kicks Off In Oman

Apr 11, Kathmandu- The ACC Premier Cup cricket tournament is starting tomorrow in Oman. Four matches will be played on the same day tomorrow. Nepal will play its first match tomorrow at 4:30 PM against Malaysia. This game will be played at Al Emirates.

Before that, there will be a match between Oman and Bahrain and UAE and Kuwait at 12:30 in the morning. Similarly, Hong Kong and Qatar will play at 4:30 p.m.

In the competition, Nepal will play Qatar in the second match on Saturday, against Hong Kong on Monday 3rd May and against Saudi Arabia in the last match of the group stage on Wednesday 4th May.

The Premier Cup, which starts tomorrow, will continue till 9th of Baisakh. Nepal is in Group 'A' of the ACC Premier Cup. Along with Nepal, this group includes Hong Kong, Malaysia, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Similarly, in group 'B' there are Bahrain, Cambodia, Kuwait, Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The top two teams in the group will advance to the semi-finals. The team that wins the final will be allowed to play in the Asia Cup.

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has already announced a 14-member team under the captaincy of Rohit Paudel for the T-20 format tournament.
