Apr 13, Kathmandu- Nepal will face Qatar today in the ACC Men's Premier Cup T20 international cricket tournament. In the ongoing tournament in Oman, the Nepali team defeated Qatar and is on the verge of winning its second consecutive victory.

The match will start at 4:15 PM Nepali time. In the first match on Friday, Nepal defeated Malaysia by five wickets. In Friday's match, Qatar was defeated by Hong Kong by 26 runs.

10 teams are participating in the Premier Cup, which will last until May 9. Nepal will face Hong Kong on 3rd of Baisakh. The last match of the group stage will be against Saudi Arabia on May 4. The competition will be conducted till 9th of Baisakh.

Along with captain Rohit Kumar Paudel, Gulsan Jha, Karan KC, Pratish JC, Kushal Bhurtel, Sandeep Zora, Vivek Yadav, Abhinash Bohra, Sompal Kami, Dipendra Singh Airee, Lalit Rajbanshi, Kushal Malla, Aasif Sheikh and Anil Shah are in the Nepali team.

Nepal won the title of the previous edition of the Premier Cup. Last year, Nepal defeated UAE by seven wickets in the final of the Premier Cup held at the home ground. In the previous edition as well, Nepal became the winner of the Premier Cup and was selected for the Asia Cup.

India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are participating in Asia Cup. Nepal played against India and Pakistan in the 2023 Asia Cup.
