Apr 13, Kathmandu- Three children were killed and one injured in an explosion in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, officials said.

According to the local administration, the accident occurred when children stepped on a landmine while playing in an area populated by tribal communities in North Waziristan.

Among the injured in the explosion, three people died on the spot.

The injured child has been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
