Apr 14, Kathmandu- Pramod Shah, a former MP of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) was attacked in Sarlahi. He was attacked on Sunday night in Haripur Municipality-6 of Sarlahi.

SP Rabindra Bahadur Singh of District Police Office Sarlahi said that ex-MP Shah was injured in the head due to the attack. The police said that he was attacked when he was returning home after watering the maize crop at around noon.

In the beginning, Rajendra Mahato, a worker of former MP Shah, was attacked. Later, former MP Shah was also attacked, the police said.

Ravi Paswan and Nikesh Shah were also injured in the attack. Shah, who was injured in the attack, was given preliminary treatment at Amrit Healthcare in Haripur. SP Singh said that Shah is preparing to come to Kathmandu for further treatment and his condition is out of danger.

The police have arrested three people on the charge of being involved in the assault. Aryan Chaudhary, Siddhant Chaudhary and Saroj Majhi are among those arrested.
