Kamal Sapkota Been Appointed As Vice President Of Tourism Board

Apr 14, Kathmandu- Ram Prasad Sapkota (Kamal) has been appointed as the Vice Chairman of Nepal Tourism Board. The post of vice-chairman of the board became vacant after the previous vice-chairman Chandra Prasad Rijal left on Magh 22 after completing his three-year term.

Newly appointed board member Sapkota has been appointed to the same post. Along with Rijal, two other board members also left after completing their tenure. With members Krishna Shah and Nawang Mia Sherpa also leaving the board, the cabinet meeting held on Chaitra 15 appointed businessmen Rishi Ram Bhandari, Rajendra Bahadur Lama and Ram Prasad Sapkota (Kamal). Among the three newly appointed members, Sapkota got the responsibility of vice president.

The newly appointed Vice President Sapkota Dhading is from Neelkanth Municipality Jamarung and he has been active in the tourism business for a long time.

Sapkota, who received an honorary degree from the World University of France, received dozens of national and international awards such as 'South Asian Youth Tourism Award 2019', 'Surya Nepal Asha Social Entrepreneurship Award 2011' and 'International Sustainable Tourism Inspiring Story Competition 2013' award, Tourism Man of the Year Award, honors and received awards.
