Cabinet Expansion In Lumbini, 10-Member Cabinet Including 6 Non-Departmental Ones

Apr 18, Kathmandu- Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Jokh Bahadur Mahara has expanded the government today. Chief Minister Mahara expanded the government immediately after the chairmanship of the subject committee of the Parliament was finished.

The Council of Ministers has been expanded with the agreement on the distribution of ministries for the expansion of the Lumbini state government. Although the Council of Ministers has been expanded, the ministers who have been added have not been assigned ministries but have been made departmental ministers.

In the government, UML has 5, Maoist has 2 including the Chief Minister, civil liberties, JSP and independent MPs have 1 ministry each. Under this, Bhumishwar Dhakal of Rupandehi, Dinesh Panthi of Gulmi, Arjun Kumar KC of Kapilvastu and Ratna Bahadur Khatri of Banke have been made ministers from UML. Chet Narayan Acharya of Arghakhanchi, deputy leader of the parliamentary party from UML, is in charge of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning. Jokh Bahadur Mahara of the Maoist Center, who was appointed the Chief Minister on March 23, has made one minister each from the CPN-UML, the CPN-Maoist Center and the Janata Samajwadi Party. Mahara has also taken the vote of confidence. Dipendra of Rolpa has become a minister again from Maoist.

He has got the responsibility of Health Ministry from JSP Bhandarilal Ahir is the minister. He has received the responsibility of the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Management. Dharma Bahadur Choudhary from the Nagarik Unmukti Party and Khadak Basnet from the Swatantra Party has been appointed as ministers.

The program of taking oath at 5 pm today has not been decided by the unified Samajwadi party. Rupandehi's Bhagwati Adhikari is the only member of Parliament from the Unified Socialist Party.

Before he was appointed as the Chief Minister, there was a written agreement between the parties that the JSP and the CPN Unified Socialists would also participate in the government. According to the agreement, there was no discussion about the participation of the party in the government, the Secretary of the CPN Unified Socialist Lumbini Province Office, Sudan Khanal, said.
