CPN-UML Representative Council Meeting Begins

Apr 20, Kathmandu- CPN-UML's National Congress Representative Council meeting has started at Godawari in Lalitpur. The party president KP Sharma Oli started the meeting by presenting a political report.

Addressing the council meeting, President Oli claimed that there is no conflict in the policy and leadership within the party. He has called upon the workers to embark on a campaign to build a strong national power with ideological and emotional unity. He said that in the 29 months since the last convention, the party has successfully faced the complicated situation and has come to the present comfortable situation.

President Oli said that there was a siege against UML during the last election and said that the party has fought a war in a way and is now in a comfortable situation. He said that the Congress has become weak and the new so-called Shakti is also walking in the wrong direction. He insisted that even those who advocated monarchy would not succeed.

According to UML, 2,454 people including members of the central committee, members of the central body, organizers and council members participated in the meeting. General Secretary Shankar Pokharel will present the organizational report in the meeting. The meeting will continue till tomorrow.
