Apr 20, Kathmandu- Apple has removed two of Meta's biggest apps from its Apple App Store in China.

Apple has removed Mark Zuckerberg's WhatsApp and Threads from its app store. Apple has informed that both of these popular apps of Meta have been removed from the app store operating in China.

Apple has said that it has done this on the instructions of the Chinese government. The Chinese government ordered Apple to remove these apps citing the security of its country.

However, Meta's other three apps Instagram, Facebook and Messenger are still working in China. In addition to these three apps, Elon Musk's micro-blogging site X and YouTube are also working in China.
