Ranveer Singh's Deepfake Video Going Viral On The Internet

Apr 25, Kathmandu- One after the other, Bollywood actors are being victims of 'deepfake' videos. Lately, actor Ranveer Singh has also become a victim of this.

In the video made with the help of AI technology, Ranveer can be seen criticizing the Indian Prime Minister and his party and speaking in support of the Indian Congress. As the date of Lok Sabha elections in India is approaching, he is surprised that this video is naturally getting attention.

Ranveer's father Jugjit Singh has approached the police saying that it is a work to affect Ranveer's character by misusing technology. Jugjit lodged a complaint with Maharashtra Cyber Police on Tuesday.

According to Jugjit's statement to the police, an interview given by Ranveer at a fashion show on April 14 was misused and published on the social network 'X' with the help of Deepfake.

The video was released on 17th April by a fake X account. While giving an interview to the Indian media, Maharashtra Cyber Police DIG Sanjay Shintre said that the fake account user has been identified and action will be taken swiftly.

Earlier, Indian artists like Rashmika Mandana, Alia Bhatt and others were victims of Deepfake videos.
