May 07, Kathmandu- In the fiscal year 2023-24, 73 people have died due to lightning in Myanmar. Citing Myanmar's Disaster Management Department, the official television channel MRTV said on Tuesday that 73 people were killed by lightning in Myanmar in the fiscal year 2023/24.

Myanmar has experienced 67 lightning strikes throughout the financial year from April to March. 27 people were also injured by lightning.

It is mentioned in the report that the Disaster Management Department of Myanmar is raising awareness about its safety to reduce the number of deaths caused by lightning.
