May 13, Kathmandu- The police have arrested one person on the charge of being involved in online betting. The arrested person is 24-year-old Anil Dhungana of Kavrepalanchowk Mandandeupur Municipality. He was made public by holding a press conference on Monday.

He was arrested by the police because he was collecting money for betting on Xbet, Gambling 365, Crypto and other online betting platforms. According to the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Dhungana had an illegal business of more than two billion.

According to the police, it was found that he has transacted 2 billion 1.8 million 44 thousand rupees so far in 56 banks linked to 11 Connect IPS, 15 eSewa wallets from mobile numbers in the names of different people.

The head of the office, Sanuram Bhattararai, has found that Dhungana has traded 1 billion 34 million rupees in 243 types of cryptocurrencies using 2 accounts through Binance.
