May 15, Kathmandu- After being acquitted by Patan High Court in the case of rape, cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane said, "I will always be indebted to you for your support and encouragement even in difficult situations".

On Wednesday, he said this while waving to his supporters after getting into the car at the High Court premises at Harihar Bhawan.

High Court judges Sudarshandev Bhatta and Anju Upreti acquitted him on Wednesday. With the acquittal, the way for Sandeep to play in the World Cup is also open.

The way for him to play in the T20 Cricket World Cup, which is going to be held in America and West Indies from next June 1, is open.
