May 27, Kathmandu- The official poster of 'Sati Devi' directed by writer and director Laxman Subedi has been released.

In the public poster, actress Malika Mahat, who played the lead role of ``Sati Devi'', can be seen breast-feeding a newborn baby with tears in her eyes.

Similarly, along with Malika, two child actors Harshika Wali and Manjila Bania are also featured in the poster. You can see them crying.

Earlier in the first look, Malika was presented wearing of black paint and a garland of shoes getting villagers out, so it can be understood that director Subedi will present the serious pain of having a daughter in the cinema.

The breast-feeding scene also created more curiosity in Malika's role. It can be assumed that this curiosity will attract the audience.

The movie will be released on 4th Shrawan. As the movie has already won the best film at Saurah South Asian Film Festival, Shiv Regmi the best director and the best film, best script and best actress Juri Mention award at the 3rd Nepal Rural Film Festival, the movie has a high potential to please the audience.

Subedi himself prepared the story and screenplay of the movie. The movie 'Sati Devi', produced by Dilasa and Sara, stars Harshika Oli, Manjila Banian, Sandeep Babu Lohani, Ramesh Budhathoki, Kuldeep Adhikari, Bhola Sapkota, Shrijana Adhikari, Sujita Siwakoti, Sandesh Limbu, Manisha Sapkota, Jayant Regmi, Bimal Shrestha along with actress Malika Mahat, Dev Maharjan, Tulsi Shrestha, Ishwori Singh, Pawan KC and Jagdish Adhikari.

Cinematography of the movie is done by Babu Shrestha, editing by Tara Thapa, music by Deepak Sharma and Subhas Thapa, choreography by Ramji Lamichhane, action by Dev Maharjan.

The poster of the movie was designed by Rakesh Dahal and the photo was taken by Sridhar Paudel. The film will be distributed by Rich Entertainment in Kathmandu and AFD Company outside Kathmandu.
