Five People Who Were Set on Fire By Spraying Petrol Are Treated

Jun 06, Kathmandu- In Kathmandu Metropolitan City-7 Saraswotinagar, five people who were injured after a person sprinkled petrol on it and set it on fire are being treated at Kirtipur Burn Hospital.

Spokesman and Superintendent of Police Navraj Adhikari of the District Police Complex, Kathmandu informed that five people who were injured when 55-year-old Chanchal Bahadur Singh set fire to the room of his own house while intoxicated were being treated at Burn Hospital.

55-year-old Singh, his 44-year-old wife Bindu Singh, 24-year-old daughter Supriya Singh, 16-year-old daughter Samriddhi Singh and eight-year-old daughter Suhani Singh were injured when Singh started a fire during a quarrel with his wife while drunk.

Among the injured, 10 to 12 percent of Singh's body, his wife's five to seven percent, daughters Supriya's 50 to 55 percent, Samriddhi's 80 to 85 percent, and Suhani's 12 to 14 percent were burned, according to the hospital.

According to the police spokesperson officer, it is understood that Sinhal, who was living on the third floor of his three-storey house in Chabahil, set the fire last night during a quarrel with his wife. District Police Complex Kathmandu has informed that necessary investigation is going on regarding the incident.
