It is proposed to convert the current Film Development Board into a Commission. In the meeting, Director Shah said that the initial agreement for the formation of the Film Development Board was about the formation of the commission. He believes that if the commission is formed, the current problems of domestic films can be solved structurally.

There is also a demand that the state should clearly mention documentaries and other films as a genre in the law, and bring a new bill by amending the 2026 film law.

There are also demands that tax exemptions on films should be arranged, single theaters should be subsidized and brought into the concept of multiplexes, Kathmandu metropolis should develop the auditorium as a film center, and film education should be included in the curriculum of schools and colleges.

The assembly said that if a film development bank could be established, there would be relief in film funding. Under the leadership of the film director Manoj Pandit, the film workers gathered in the capital on Saturday.

Neer Shah, Dipendra Gauchan, Film Association President Narendra Maharjan, Director's Society President Janakdeep Parajuli, filmmakers Rabindrasingh Baniyan, Pradeep Bhattarai, Jakkan Upreti, Usha Rajak and other new generation filmmakers participated.

It is said that the findings along with the problems and solutions of the film industry will be submitted to the Ministry of Communications, Film Development Board and other film related organizations including the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
