Jun 11, Kathmandu- Rohit Paudel, the captain of the Nepali national cricket team, has responded that he is excited about the group stage match against Sri Lanka under the ICC T20 World Cup.
In the press conference held on the eve of the match, captain Paudel said that since Nepal had an opportunity to beat Sri Lanka, he had devised a strategy to play accordingly. According to captain Paudel, the team that makes a total of 140 runs in this match will win.
He also said that the addition of spinner Sandeep Lamichhane to the team will be very beneficial. Paudel mentioned that the pitch of West Indies is very good for spinner bowlers and since bowler Lamichhane has entered the team, Nepal will have an opportunity to win more matches with his experience and excellence. Sandeep, who could not go to America, is going to play two matches in the group stage in the West Indies.
The T20 World Cup match between Nepal and Sri Lanka will start tomorrow at 5:30 AM in Florida, USA. In their first match of the World Cup, Nepal was defeated by 6 wickets against the Netherlands.
