Tilganga Eye University Bill Registered In National Assembly

Jun 24, Kathmandu- The Tilganga Eye University Bill has been registered in the National Assembly. Education, Science and Technology Minister Sumana Shrestha has registered this bill in the National Assembly today.

It is mentioned that a bill has been introduced to provide quality education in the field of eye health towards medical education in higher education in Nepal. The purpose of the bill is to establish a university to provide higher education in the field of eye health.

The Tilganga Eye Treatment Center in Tilganga, Kathmandu has been producing lenses along with all types of eye treatment. The produced lenses are sold all over the world.

The eye hospital, which was opened under the leadership of Dr. Sanduk Ruit, had been demanding the operation of the university. The Council of Ministers meeting held on 3rd of Jestha decided to approve to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology to submit this bill to the Parliament.
