More Than 30 Billion In Gold Smuggling In The Scheme Of Chinese Citizen Daojin

Jul 01, Kathmandu- The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has informed that 3 thousand 194 kg 668 grams of gold was smuggled from 5 out of 7 companies for illegal gold smuggling.

CIB held a press conference on Monday and informed that 3 thousand 194 kg 668 grams of gold was smuggled out of 7 dummy companies established by people involved in illegal gold theft.

The CIB has informed that after the investigation started by the revenue investigation department after the investigation started with the seizure of 60 kg 716 grams of illegal gold that was cleared from the customs at Tribhuvan airport on 2nd Shrawan 2080, the investigation so far has revealed that the result was illegal gold theft.

The CIB has informed that 24 of the 25 accused who were arrested on the charge of bringing gold to Brake Shoe secretly are in custody. The amount of gold was brought in electronic goods such as water pumps, smart watches, saving machines, and Brake Shoe.

According to CIB, it was established in the plan of Daojin Wang, a Chinese citizen, to smuggle illegal goods. Bhujel Electric Suppliers Pvt. Ltd., Hwada Electric Suppliers Pvt. Ltd., Chungak Electric Suppliers, Dolakha Electric Suppliers Pvt. Ltd. and Ready Trade Pvt.

CIB has extracted the total value of the said gold as 30 billion 82 crore 22 lakh 91 thousand 272 rupees. It has been found that the amount of illegally stolen gold was paid from Paywell Nepal Pvt. Ltd. and Easy Payment Services Pvt. Ltd.

After completing the first phase of investigation, the CIB filed a case in the court on 5th August. At that time, only the investigation of the illegal gold imported by 'Brake Shoe' was completed and further investigation was conducted regarding the illegal gold imported from five companies, he said. According to the CIB, 20 people have been arrested during the second investigation.
