Ministry Of Health Urges Not To Eat Wild Mushrooms

Jul 01, Kathmandu- The Ministry of Health and Population has requested not to consume wild mushrooms. The National Health Education, Information and Communication Center under the Ministry of Health made this request by releasing information.

The Center has requested this after the number of deaths due to eating wild mushrooms has increased in the last few years. The center also recommends not touching wild mushrooms with bare hands as they can be poisonous.

With the arrival of the rainy season, wild mushrooms begin to grow. Because wild mushrooms are poisonous, eating mushrooms can cause serious illness and even death.

According to the ministry, cooking with wild mushrooms does not reduce the poison in the mushrooms.
