Jul 02, Kathmandu- CPN-UML President KP Sharma Oli has asked Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) to resign and pave the way.

This morning, reaching the Prime Minister's official residence, Baluwatar, Oli informed about the agreement reached with the Congress and asked him to pave the way.

He said that he would become the prime minister with the support of parties including the Congress and asked Prachanda to join the government of national consensus.

Last night Congress and UML agreed to form a new alliance, but the alliance led by Maoist Chairman Prachanda has collapsed.

It is said that Prachanda is discussing whether to resign as Prime Minister or take a vote of confidence.
