Case Against Rabi Still On Pending!

Jul 02, Kathmandu- The petition filed in the Supreme Court against the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane is still pending.

The hearing of the petition, which was held in a joint bench of Supreme Court Justices Sapna Pradhan Malla and Sharanga Subedi, was kept pending after the hearing was not completed.

Advocate Anupam Bhattarai filed a writ demanding that Lamichhane should be suspended as the Home Minister and an investigation should be conducted into the co-operative fraud.

Advocate Anupam Bhattarai has filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding the suspension of the investigation of the government fraud while Lamichhane is in the position of Home Minister. Earlier, hearing the writ on Jestha 28, the bench of Justices Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma and Til Prasad Shrestha ordered the release of the missal papers filed against Lamichhane in cooperative fraud. Giving priority to the writ, it was ordered to withdraw the Cooperative Fraud Case No. 080-c1-0987 involving Gitendra Babu Rai (GB Rai) from Misil Rupandehi District Court.
