Jul 04, Kathmandu- The highest number of dengue cases have been seen in Kathmandu district.

According to the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD), 159 people have been infected with dengue in Kathmandu district. According to the data of EDCD, out of 1432 dengue cases in 73 districts out of 77 districts across the country, 159 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu district only.

Doctors say that when the population density is high, the mosquitoes of the 'Aedes aegypti' species bite an infected person and transfer it to another person.
