Prime Minister Modi's Meeting With World Cup Winning Indian Cricket Team

Jul 04, Kathmandu- The Indian cricket team, which won the T20 World Cup title, met with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Indian media have mentioned that Prime Minister Modi had a lunch meeting with the Indian cricket team that arrived in Delhi from Barbados in the West Indies on Thursday morning at his residence.

According to Rajeev Shukla, Vice President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, the Indian team will reach Mumbai by chartered flight today. In Mumbai today, the cricket team will be given a victory parade from Mumbai's Marine Drive to the Wankhede Stadium. On this occasion, Shukla said that the amount of 125 crores announced by the board would be transferred earlier.

After the cancellation of the regular flight, the Indian Cricket Board arranged a special plane to bring the players, officials and journalists directly from Barbados to Delhi.

Earlier, the Indian team was scheduled to come to India from Barbados via New York-Dubai.
