'Kalki' Becomes The Highest Grossing Film In India This Year

95 crore opener film, the momentum of the film does not seem to stop at the box office. "Kalki" is earning fast even on working days, surpassing Ajay Devgn's "Shaitan" and Hrithik Roshan's "Fighter". The film, which earned 23 crores on Wednesday, has also set a new record on the eighth day of its release, Thursday.

The film has earned more than 700 crores worldwide and crossed the 400 crore mark at the Indian box office on Thursday's eighth day of its release. The film has earned 414 crores in India, according to Indian media.

'Kalki' has also become the highest-grossing film this year. The film has so far collected 162.8 crores in Hindi version, 212.8 crores in Telugu version, 173.1 crores overseas, 14.1 crores in Malayalam, 230 crores in Tamil and 2.8 crores in Kannada, according to Indian media Dainik Jagran.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film tells the story of Mahabharata 6000 years ago. Starring Prabhas, Deepika and Amitabh as well as Kamal Haasan in lead roles, the film's story and VFX are being appreciated by the audience.
