Jul 11, Kathmandu- Nepali Congress General Minister Bishwa Prakash Sharma has said that he will not join the government formed under the leadership of CPN-UML President KP Sharma Oli.
In a meeting of leading party workers in his constituency Jhapa-1, Chief Minister Sharma said that he will not join the future government. Among the five key officials of the Chairman, Deputy Chairman and General Minister, Sharma is the only one who is not participating in the government so far.
He said that it is natural for some people to worry that the power of the opposition will weaken when the two big parties join the government. "There is concern and concern of the intellectual circle that the opposition voice will be weakened when the two big parties merge," Sharma said at the leading activists meeting, "I will not join the government even if the opposition voice is not weakened."
On Asadha 17, an agreement was reached between Congress and UML to form a government under the leadership of Oli. The sharing of the ministry between the two parties has not been finalized. Although there is a discussion about the people who will lead from Congress and go to the government, the decision has not been reached yet.
Sharma said that it would be suitable for the Congress to participate in the government under the leadership of another Chief Minister, Gagan Thapa.
