Dengue Spreads In 73 Districts: more than 1500 cases have been confirmed

Jul 14, Kathmandu- Dengue infection has been confirmed in 1,544 people across the country.

According to Dr. Gokarna Dahal, head of the insect branch under the Center for Epidemiology and Disease Control, 1,544 people have been diagnosed with dengue in 73 districts. So far, dengue infection has spread in 73 districts except four districts namely Mustang, Dolpa, Humla and Jumla of Karnali province.

So far, most dengue cases have been confirmed in Bagmati region. Dengue infection has been confirmed in 538 people in Bagmati province. Dengue has been confirmed in 371 people in Koshi, 230 in Gandaki, 181 in Lumbini, 164 in Far West, 39 in Madhesh and 21 in Karnali.

Most dengue cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu and Jhapa within the district. Dengue has been confirmed in 185 people in Kathmandu and 123 people in Jhapa. Similarly, dengue has been confirmed in 90 people in Chitwan, 70 in Makwanpur, 50 in Doti, 53 in Tanahun, 46 in Sindhupalchok, 53 in Okhaldhunga, 46 in Bhojpur, 39 in Kavre.
