Jul 15, Kathmandu- Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has completed the government in the first phase. Today, after 21 ministers took oath, the Council of Ministers became complete.
Although the national government was discussed, Oli took only four parties to the government. Along with Congress and UML, JSP and LSP went to government, other parties were left out. As all 22 ministries are filled, now according to the constitution, only 3 state ministers can be added. Therefore, the possibility of other parties entering the government is almost over.
The Maoists who led the government earlier were certain to remain in the opposition. The fourth largest party RSP had also decided not to join the government. The fifth party, the RPP, had not taken any decision. Upendra Yadav's JSP Nepal, Janamat and Resham Chaudhary's NUP were willing to go to government.
It is understood that Oli is not interested in taking RPP to the government. According to sources, Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba was conversing with the RPP leadership. He was saying that he should come to the government. However, the proposal was not formally submitted to the RPP.
JSP Nepal, Janamat and NUP also did not participate in the government. After a strong alliance was formed between the Congress and the UML, Oli was under no obligation to include the smaller parties. After not having to bear the bargaining of small parties, Oli completed the cabinet in the first phase.
Earlier, every Prime Minister used to formalize the government by expanding a small cabinet in the first stage. After that, the Council of Ministers was expanded from time to time. Every time there was an expansion, there was a rush of transactions. Oli does not have to face that trouble.
