Jul 30, Kathmandu- Japan's unemployment rate fell to 2.5 percent in June, a modest improvement from 2.6 percent last month, government data showed on Tuesday.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan said that the number of employed persons reached 68.22 million in June, an increase of 370,000 compared to a year ago.
The number of unemployed people fell 3.3 percent in June to 1.76 million, adjusted for seasonally adjusted unemployment, as people voluntarily quit their jobs and looked for new jobs.
According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, Japan's employment-to-applicant ratio fell from 1.24 in May to 1.23 in June for the third consecutive month, indicating that there were 123 jobs available for every 100 job seekers.
