Bagmati Chief Minister Lama Receives Vote Of Confidence

Jul 30, Kathmandu- Bagmati Province Chief Minister Bahadur Singh Lama Tamang has received a vote of confidence from the Bagmati Province Assembly.

Chief Minister Lama received the vote of confidence from the provincial assembly meeting held on Tuesday. Lama, who is also the leader of the Nepali Congress parliamentary party, was appointed as the Chief Minister on Shrawan 8

Speaker of the Provincial Assembly Bhuwan Kumar Pathak informed that there were 103 Provincial Assembly members present in the voting on Monday's meeting of the 110-member Bagmati Provincial Assembly, and 64 votes were cast in favor of and 35 votes were cast against the proposal put forward by Chief Minister Lamal. In the vote of confidence, three provincial assembly members remained neutral.

The Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) were in favor of the above proposal given the vote of confidence by the Chief Minister.

CPN (Maoist Centre), National Democratic Party, CPN (Unified Socialist) and our Nepali Party voted against. The Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party was neutral in the voting.
