19 Kg Of Magnet Lost During The Search Of Missing Buses In Trishuli River

Aug 01, Kathmandu- 15 days ago, the search operation for the bus that fell into Trishuli river due to a flood in Simaltal located in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29 of Chitwan has been stopped today.

The search operation was started on Saturday afternoon. This time two magnets were brought from India. Two magnets of 19 kg and 14 kg were dropped into the water and the search for the missing bus was started. During the search, the 19 kg magnet was lost, the source said.

"The search team went to Devghat to find the magnet where we lost the magnet,” according to the source.

Along with the magnet, the Lifebuoy tube was also swept away by the water. A Lifebuoy tube is used for rescue when a person is drowning in water.

According to Chief District Officer Indradev Yadav, the Indian team had brought a 'magnetic device' (big magnet) to find out whether or not they were living in a possible location.

Even after searching Simaltal which is 20 km away from Devghat, no traces of the bus was found.

Chief District Officer of Chitwan, Indradev Yadav, said that a decision will be made tomorrow morning whether the Indian team will search more.

"Today nothing was achieved. Tomorrow morning the Indian team will decide whether to seek more/not to seek more. A decision will be made only tomorrow morning about what our team will do for further investigation", he said.

He said that there is a possibility that the Indian team will return after giving the final report in the morning, but the final decision has not been taken yet.
