Aug 02, Kathmandu- The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has called for a proposal to buy the T20 cricket franchise. CAN issued a statement today calling for a prelude to buy the club's franchise for the T20 franchise league to be organized by himself.
CAN has a legal provision that the bidding company to buy the franchise should be registered with the company registrar of Nepal.
In the case of a foreign company, if it wants to own a franchise, the company should be a 'joint venture' with a local company in Nepal, according to CAN. CAN has also stated that the company bidding for the franchise should not be found guilty of or involved in any criminal activity, financial fraud or other illegal activities.
One lakh rupees will have to be paid to get the form for the franchise. CAN has given a deadline of August 16 to the interested companies to submit the form.
