Aug 04, Kathmandu- The documentary film 'Co-Husband' produced about the polygamy system of Nepal is going to be used as a study material in different campuses and universities of America and Canada. The 35-minute documentary, directed by journalist Ganesh Pandey, was filmed in Humla, Karnali Pradesh.
In 1968, Documentary Educational Resources, founded in the United States, began to provide teaching reference material on campuses and universities in the United States and Canada. Co-Husband has won dozens of awards in many countries around the world. Previously, Co-Husband won the Best Short Film Award along with a cash prize at the 36-year-old Society of Visual Anthropology Film and Media Festival organized by the American Anthropological Association and the Canadian Anthropology Society in Toronto, Canada.
The documentary was made in about four years of shooting. The writing of this documentary produced by Sign Media Pvt Ltd has also been directed by Pandey himself.
Director Pandey said that it is a matter of pride for the country that 'Co-Husband' has been included as an excellent reference material in various universities studying anthropology. Even before this, director Pandey's much-loved documentary film 'Bhagyle Bachekaharu' also won one and a half dozen international awards.
