Aug 22, Kathmandu- CPN (Maoist Center) Member of Parliament Lekhnath Dahal has requested the government to provide security to the officers of Tribhuvan University. Speaking at an emergency meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday, Member of Parliament Dahal requested the government to provide security to the Vice-Chancellor, Rector and Registrar of Tribhuvan University as they were absent from the office citing security reasons.

He also demanded to know the reasons why the officials of Tribhuvan University became unsafe. He asked that if there are political problems, they should be resolved through negotiations and if there are criminal problems, they should be controlled through legal procedures.

MP Dahal also demanded that the construction of the tunnel on the BP highway should be carried forward as soon as there are many accidents on the BP highway causing loss of life and property.
