Brazilian Court Threatened 'X' With A Nationwide Ban

Aug 29, Kathmandu- Brazilian Supreme Court Judge Alexandre de Moraes has ordered Elon Musk to appoint a legal representative on behalf of his social network X within 24 hours.

Judge Moros has warned that social network X will be suspended nationwide if Musk does not appoint legal professionals. The Supreme Court has issued an order to appoint a new legal representative to Elon Musk within 24 hours through his official X account.

"Judge Alexandre de Moraes of the Supreme Court on Wednesday night ordered Elon Musk, the businessman and head of social network X, to appoint a new legal representative on behalf of the company in Brazil within 24 hours", it was informed through the official website of the court. "On August 18, 2024, through the official post of the court on the social media, a summons was issued to the legal practitioner appointed on behalf of X to appear in court."

The Supreme Court has warned that the operation of the social network X in Brazil will be suspended if the justice process is obstructed. Mores has put Musk under investigation for obstruction of justice and other charges.

At the beginning of this year, the controversy started when Judge Moraes of the Supreme Court of Brazil ordered the closure of some of X's accounts, accusing him of spreading misinformation. But Musk, the head of X, challenged the Brazilian judge's order and removed the ban on some of the old accounts.
