Aug 29, Kathmandu- There is a huge commotion in China after two unknown women locked a girl child in the toilet of a flight. Controversy has been raging online about how to teach children a lesson in public places.

One of the two women, Gou Tingting, posted a video of herself carrying the girl child inside the toilet on 'Douyin', the Chinese version of TikTok. In the post, Gou tried to show that she tried to help the other passengers on the plane but her post has received a lot of criticism. The airline later said the girl's grandmother had permitted the two women to teach her a lesson like so.

This incident took place on August 24 inside the flight of Juneyao Airlines. The plane was on its way to Shanghai from Kuiyang. The girl was travelling with her grandmother. During the flight, she started crying continuously, so she was locked in the toilet.

Two days after the incident, the airline said that the girl's grandmother had allowed the two women to lock her granddaughter inside the plane's toilet.

The local newspaper said that the girl is one year old. After posting the video, many criticized Gou for not such behaviour and abusing the child. In response, Kou said that she was only trying to maintain peace on the flight by pacifying the child.

She said that when the baby started crying, some passengers left their seats and moved to the back seat of the plane and some of them put cotton in her ears. After the criticism started pouring in that video, Gou made her account inaccessible to others.
