Student Of Grade 10 Jumped From The School Building

Sep 02, Kathmandu- A student studying at Pokhariya Secondary School in Biratnagar jumped from the school building.

Principal Khemraj Bhattarai informed that 16-year-old Murmu, studying in class 10, jumped from the second floor of the school on Monday.

The student who jumped from the school building is currently being treated at Nobel Teaching Hospital in Biratnagar. She had previously told the school teacher that she would jump from the top floor of the building.

However, according to the hospital doctor, no external injuries were seen on the injured Murmu's body and internal injuries are being tested. According to the Morang police, the activity of the student who jumped from the building at around 3 pm was recorded in the CCTV footage of the school.

According to the Morang police, who suspected that the student fell at the beginning of the incident, in the CCTV footage, the student himself jumped from the second floor of the building.

Morang Police Spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police Gyanendra Bahadur Basnet said that the injured student had tried to jump unsuccessfully before. According to him, it is seen that the students may have health or mental problems. He said, "Now the investigation is going on. Whether there is any problem in the student can be clarified only after the investigation".
