Cyber ​​Bureau Warns Not To Post Misleading And False Information On Facebook

Sep 05, Kathmandu- Cyber ​​Bureau of Nepal Police has issued a warning saying that youths have been writing against the government on social media lately.

On Thursday, the bureau issued a notification and drew attention not to post misleading and false information on Facebook and other social networks.

Some time ago, the police arrested youths who wrote against Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on social media. Not only that, some youths were also arrested for making fake rumours during the Gaura festival held in Tundikhel, Kathmandu.

The Cyber ​​Bureau has also asked not to write indiscriminately on Facebook citing that it will affect the social order to protect the government.

It's written, "Common citizens have knowingly misused social media and spread misleading and wrong information in the society, creating a situation of arrogance and affecting social harmony, so the Nepal Police Cyber ​​Bureau has drawn serious attention to this type of activity."

The bureau has also said that action will be taken in writing when the attention is drawn. It is written in the statement, "Also, as ignorance of the law is unforgivable, we request everyone not to get involved in such activities and decently use social networks and share correct information."
