Sep 08, Kathmandu- After the Supreme Court set the standard of the river at an additional 20 meters, local protests have erupted in some places. With the order of the Supreme Court, Kathmandu Metropolis has banned the construction of any structure in the additional 20 meters.

Similarly, today, the locals of Gokarneshwar municipality have demonstrated in Jorpati protesting against the standard. They protested in Jorpati area saying that the verdict of the Supreme Court was not judicial.
