Fifth Session Of The Koshi Provincial Assembly Ended

Sep 22, Kathmandu- The fifth session of the Koshi Provincial Assembly has ended. The session ended with Speaker Ambar Bahadur Bista reading out the letter from the office of the head of Koshi Province, Parshuram Khapung, in accordance with Article 183 of the Constitution of Nepal.

20 meetings were held in the convention which started on 31st Baisakh and lasted for almost four months. In this session, apart from the economic bill, three other bills were passed.

A bill made to make provisions regarding the revival of the previous provisions of some state laws, a bill made to amend the state civil service act, 2079 (2081) and a bill 2081 made to amend the state Agricultural Business Promotion Grant Act, 2077 have been passed.

In this meeting, Hikmat Kumar Karki, Chief Minister of Koshi Provincial Assembly, has received the vote of confidence. After 22 months of the second term of the Provincial Assembly, the chairpersons of the subject committees could not be selected, in this session, chairpersons were unanimously elected in all the seven committees.

The annual budget of 35 billion rupees for the financial year 2081/82 has been passed in the Koshi Provincial Assembly.
