Nov 09, Kathmandu- Nepal lost to UAE in the ongoing ICC U-19 Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier. UAE defeated Nepal by 13 runs in the match held at The Seven Stadium in Dubai.
Chasing the target of 123 runs given by UAE, Nepal scored 109 runs losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. Captain Pooja Mahato scored the highest 48 runs for Nepal.
Earlier, batting first, UAE scored 122 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs.
With this, UAE has won its third consecutive victory. Nepal has 2 wins and 1 loss in 3 matches. Now Nepal is scheduled to play against Thailand and UAE against Kuwait on Sunday.
Along with Nepal and Kuwait, hosts UAE and Thailand are participating in the qualifying tournament. The top-ranked team in this tournament, played on the basis of double round robin, will qualify for the U-19 Women's T20 World Cup in Malaysia next year.
