Maoist Center To Hold Vigils To Municipal level

Nov 11, Kathmandu- The Maoist Center is going to hold vigils up to the municipal level.

On Monday, the official meeting held at Khumaltar, the residence of President Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda), decided to hold a vigilance meeting up to the municipality level.

Similarly, the Maoists are going to hold a municipal conference until the end of November. According to central member Ramesh Malla, the vigilance meeting and municipal conference against the government will be held simultaneously till the end of November.

He said, "It has been decided to hold a municipal assembly and a warning meeting together by the end of November, to warn against the government's misbehavior."

Similarly, the Central Committee meeting has been called for the next 2nd of Paush.

The Maoists have demanded a directly elected executive president from the functionaries' meeting. In order to end political distortions, the Maoists have decided to go for a directly elected executive system.

Informing about the decision of the meeting, Malla said, "The Maoist Center has proposed that the election of the country's chief executive should be done through the direct election system. It is the party's view that this will end distortion, inconsistency, and political instability".
