Nov 11, Kathmandu- The Election Commission has appointed the Chief Electoral Officer and the Electoral Officer for the local level by-elections scheduled for Mangsir 16th.

According to Section 7 of the Local Level Election Act, 2073, 32 district judges have been appointed as chief election officers and 6 officially elected staff as election officers in different places with effect from today. Narayan Prasad Sapkota, Joint Secretary and Spokesperson of the Commission, informed that the office of the election officer will be set up in the place where the concerned local level center and the center of the ward are located and the work related to the election management will be carried out by the chief election officer and the election officer.
